1. Does this photo successfully demonstrate the concept of Slow Shutter Speed? Is there a subject besides the slow shutter speed effect or does it just feature the slow shutter speed effect? Is the focus correct? Does the image need to be rotated to make sure the horizontal lines are straight?

NOTES: HOW TO CONTROL DEPTH OF FIELD WITH THE AV MODE
I had my subject with a microphone in his hand. I took one photo at a lower Aperture, F Stop, in this case f 4.5. At this aperture setting notice how the microphone is in focus but nothing else is. When I changed the aperture to a higher aperture number, in this case, f 10.0 notice how so much more of him is in focus than before.
I had the camera in the AV mode to be able to adjust the aperture.
I also had to change the other settings in photoshop, because the amount of light coming into the camera also changed.
THIS WEEK’S PHOTO CHALLENGE: PORTRAIT WITH DEPTH OF FIELD
For this week’s photo challenge you will submit TWO photos of the same subject, a portrait of a person in their own natural environment. One will have deep depth of field (highest amount of the image in focus) and one will have shallow depth of field (minimal amount of focus in the image.) For an example, check out these two photos at the top of this post.
The image on the left is shot at F4.5, which creates a shallow depth of field.
The image on the right is shot at F10 where everything is in focus.
TO DO THIS RIGHT, YOU WILL NEED A TRIPOD and the AV (Aperture Value) Mode of the Camera.
TWO practice photos will be due on Thursday, October 20st.
TWO final photos will be due on Monday, October 24th.
