- I can open a Google document from today’s assignment Multi-Image Self Portrait brainstorm activity and write silently for 10 minutes. I can turn this document in to the Google classroom assignment.
Steps:
Take 10 minutes. Write down as much as you can during that time. Keep your fingers typing. Write down whatever comes to mind, follow your mind’s direction, don’t try to steer it one way or another. Stick with images you see and describe them as closely as you can. Consider how each of these images will look when combined in a final photograph. Think about and describe why these images are important to you. Now read what you wrote and reflect on the type of imagery you want to use as part of your self portrait.
You’ll be writing about what images will be combined with a self portrait (An image that you shoot of yourself. ) The finished product will look like this:

Notice in this image we have the combination of the following:
- A quote that a student came up with.(The Text)
- A metaphor that describes the student (Cracks)
- A self portrait that the student took of themselves using the Self Timer on the back of the camera.
So let’s spend 10 minutes brainstorming different quotes and what the metaphor is.
