Today’s Warm Up: How To Use Layer Masks in Photoshop

How do you create a layer mask? Where in Photoshop do you click? How do you control what’s visible on screen and what is not visible on screen? How could you use adjustment layers with layer masks to make only certain parts of the image have an effect?

  1. How you can create a layer mask is you go to background and press the lock and then another screen will come up and then you press it. How you control the visible screen is you control it. You can erase the other parts.

  2. click layer and choose saved images to create different layers. to clear parts of the image use smooth paint brush to crop it. this helps get rid of unwanted parts.

  3. To control what is visible on the screen you just use the smooth round brush to get rid of unwanted parts.You can adjust of what is ahead of what and make more parts more visible. To add the photo you make the page smaller go into files and drag it in.

  4. To create a layer you click on layer and press new it’s at the top left, you use the paintbrush to take away parts of the image you don’t want. To only have certain parts of the image have the effect you go to the layer you want and edit the part that you want.

  11. you go into Photoshop and you hit the background button and you will click two images and then you have to hit the brush button and can make it where you make the background image more faded or more clear, making it layers of two photos, and so u can just keep importing more photos and making it more faded creating images into a photo that aren’t supposed to be there.
